Why are there fees?

It costs money to operate a financial institution which offers banking products and services, and it’s no secret that banks and credit unions have fees. However, that’s where the similarity ends.

Banks create and charge fees to make money. Credit unions have fees to cover expenses.

As a not-for-profit financial institution Burbank City Federal Credit Union charges fees to pay for operating expenses, and offer you a variety products and services you need and expect. Because we have such a diverse membership, each member has a unique need for the services we offer. Our fees allow each member to pay their fair share of those expenses.

* The Paper Statement Fee does not apply to 1) members age 21 and under and members 65 and over, 2) members with at least 10 years of membership.
** The Coin Counter Fee does not apply to 1) members age 21 and under and members 65 and over.
